Quotanda announced plans to dramatically expand its student services through acquisition of CareerScore. With this addition, Quotanda doubles down on its commitment to improve educational outcomes and employability for its school partners and their students.
Over the last year, Newton “Newt” Porter, CareerScore Founder/CEO had been approached by multiple interested suitors but ultimately decided Quotanda was the right fit. “Realizing Quotanda and CareerScore’s complementary services are far more powerful than the sum of the parts made this an easy decision” said Mr. Porter. “Their strong relationships with schools and lenders combined with our mutual desire to further empower students was just too exciting to pass up.”
Quotanda’s CEO, Grant Taylor, originally met the CareerScore team years ago at the Venture Hive Accelerator in Miami, Florida when both companies were in their earliest startup days. “We immediately had a strong alignment of values and goals” said Mr. Taylor. ”Fortunately, we stayed in touch and jumped at the chance to team-up when the opportunity presented itself.”
Quotanda pioneered the first multi-currency, multilingual student Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) platform. The company’s industry changing technology enables schools and lenders to efficiently launch and manage a wide variety of white-label (school or lender-branded) student financing programs including income share agreements (ISAs), payment plans, traditional loans and scholarships. All designed to make education more accessible and affordable.
“CareerScore’s outcomes management platform helps students increase employment opportunities and starting salaries while decreasing the offer timeline.” Said Quotanda’s COO Lino Pujol-Soliano. “These benefits not only help the individual users, but also help all of Quotanda’s clients by significantly reducing default rates and maximizing the value of their loan portfolios. It’s truly a win/win for everyone!”
Quotanda’s technology enables organizations to quickly introduce affordable financial aid programs (loans, ISAs and scholarships) in any country and currency in a matter of days without the need to hire additional resources. Quotanda manages student financial aid programs for over 30 clients including schools, financial institutions, alternative lenders and governments in 9 countries throughout the Americas and Europe. www.Quotanda.com
