FAQ's
Quotanda is a FinTech platform that partners with education providers, banks, foundations and government organisations helping to improve access to education. We do this by providing students ethical financing solutions. For over 10 years we’ve been providing financing solutions in Europe and Latin America and have now launched in the UK
We provide a digital platform for managing your student financing needs. We partner directly with education providers to offer their students payment plans to help defer the cost of tuition and split the cost into manageable monthly payments. For education providers we help them manage the process to make deferred payment easy by providing legal and customer support from enrolment until tuition has been fully paid. For students we support them through the whole journey by providing a payment plan to suit their needs and giving them access to CareerScore, our proprietary job matching platform to help them secure a rewarding job. Both these allow for education providers to take greater risks and select high-performing students who can benefit from flexible, ethical and affordable financing solutions.
At present Quotanda is not regulated in the UK by the FCA. We offer student financing options up to a maximum of 12 months with no interest or fees, which are not FCA regulated. We are working towards getting regulatory approval.
Quotanda Qard Hassan Plan is a Shariah compliant financing solution tailored to meet the needs of the Muslim population. It is the first Shariah compliant student financing solution launched in the UK. It has been developed with expert assistance from Shariah legal advisors, Scholars and has been certified as being Shariah compliant.

We are on a mission to democratise access to education and remove finance as a barrier to education.

We do this by providing a digital platform for education providers, foundations and government organisations to manage the fee deferment process. We charge them a fee for our services. Our partners are happy to do this on the basis that we are improving access to education, which ultimately leads to more people being enrolled on their courses.

  1. Select your chosen course with one of our leading partner education providers
  2. Choose your preferred payment option on the course page or at the checkout page.
  3. You will be redirected to the Quotanda UK application page.
  4. Complete the user friendly online application and Quotanda will be in touch to confirm the outcome.
  5. Quotanda liaises with the education provider to ensure enrolment and repayment of the course fees, with a seamless digitised platform.
  6. Students turbo charge their future with new skills and knowledge.
  7. Making affordable repayments laid out in your agreement, with support and help from the Quotanda UK team. Regular statements and secure account information available 24/7 via the Quotanda platform.

Our partner course providers have access to the Quotanda partner platform, which keeps them up to speed on all of their student applications, approvals, course of study and repayments.

Quotanda will request a search from our credit reference agency partner. This is necessary to demonstrate a student’s creditworthiness and to assist our assessment of affordability. Ensuring funding is suitable and affordable is a key requirement. A search will leave a visible footprint on your credit report, as would be the case with any application for credit.
One of the criteria to be eligible for Quotanda financial aid is to possess a clean credit report, so there should be no arrears, defaults, CCJs, etc.
We work with our students to understand each individual’s needs; we know life happens and finance can be stressful. We will work with you to find a solution. However, if a student who is able to pay and refuses to do so, then we will seek to recover the outstanding payments.

First, choose the course you’d like to apply for.

Then select “Pay With Quotanda”at checkout. We’ll ask you for some personal details, and perform an identity check and a credit check.

In most cases, we won’t need any documents from you. Legally, we need to verify your identity – if we can’t do this automatically, we might ask you for some documentation, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.

Quotanda performs a soft credit check at the point of application which will not impact your credit history. Your application and loan are added to your credit report once we have arranged your loan.

In some cases, you will need to access your banking details to securely confirm your income and expenses via Open Banking.

Well, Open Banking is considered one of the most secure ways of sharing details of the transactions on your bank account and helping to establish affordability. It is part of the UK banking system, can only be provided by FCA approved organisations and your banking credentials remain private between you and your bank.
